Maintaining a practice concentrating on claims under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act comes with its own ethical challenges. Join us July 1st for a Webinar by David J. Philipps, a NACA founding member with over 25 years of experience in working with the FDCPA. A range of topics taken directly from his experience as founding and senior partner in his firm will include:

  • obtaining referrals and working with co-counsel;
  • debt consolidators, national law firms, and national client referral services;
  • working with mentally and physically disabled clients;
  • dealing with clients' internet "expertise"
  • identifying "red flags" in clients you should not represent;
  • representation agreements;
  • determining whether a case should be filed as a class case or an individual case;
  • Settlement Agreement and ethical issues in settlement;
  • dealing with opposing counsel;
  • ethical consideration of defendants' demands for confidentiality in settlement agreements.
