Part 1
When: Jan 8 at 12:00 P.M CST
Hosted by Pepper Hamilton LLP
Dial-In Number: 877-492-4019
Participant Passcode: 215 981 4304
About:
During this pilot period APBCo (the Association of Pro Bono Counsel) is bringing together public interest innovators from around the country to describe a particular program that uses pro bono volunteers to respond to the crisis in a way we might all learn from.
How?
Each call is 30 minutes. Two projects will be highlighted. Two speakers on each project, a public interest lawyer and a pro bono volunteer, will highlight the innovative and helpful aspects of the projects that might be replicated or developed in other places.
What is the content?
* Different areas of law each time. Examples include housing, child custody, immigration and asylum, health care services, income support programs and homelessness.
* Transactional projects as well as litigation will be explored.
* Projects will come from geographically diverse parts of the country and communities.
What do I need to do?
Dial-in and listen! We are planning a few minutes for questions at the close of each call. On each call we will also provide contact info so you can follow-up with specific questions about the projects you heard about.
Speakers:
Barbara Siegel (Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles)
David Daniels (Public Counsel)
David Lash (O'Melveny & Myers) Child Dependency Project, Philadelphia
Frank Cervone (Support Center for Child Advocates)
Joseph Sullivan (Pepper Hamilton LLP)
