Looking for a new pro bono opportunity? Please consider representing homeowners facing foreclosure at Mandatory Settlement Conferences.

In Monroe County, all settlement conferences will be conducted by one referee and held at the Monroe County Bar Association's office at the Telesca Center for Justice, 1 West Main Street, Rochester. Now an integral component of the foreclosure process for subprime loans, a new law expands settlement conferences to all residential loans.

This training will address important considerations for lawyers willing to represent homeowners. Attendance is free in exchange for a commitment to take two VLSP Settlement Conference pro bono cases.

Please contact Linda Kostin, lkostin@wnylc.com or 295-5703 to register, or register online at www.empirejustice.org.

  • CLE Credit Comments: This CLE is offered free of charge in exchange for a commitment to accept two VLSP pro bono Mandatory Settlement Conference referrals.
