ABOUT VLSP
VLSP provides representation in civil matters to low-income Monroe County residents facing serious problems that can be resolved through legal intervention. Attorneys can help in a number of ways -- by taking a case, staffing a clinic at the VLSP office or helping clients in court. We encourage volunteers to take cases in areas of interest to them, and at times that fit their schedules. VLSP will provide training and support for cases outside your expertise and work hard to find a good match for your interests.
ABOUT FLVLS
Legal Assistance of the Finger Lakes is now part of Legal Assistance of Western New York, Inc. LawNY is a non-profit law firm that provides free legal aid to people who live in 14 counties in western New York. LAWNY (Legal Assistance of Western New York) is a private, non-profit corporation whose mission is to provide access to the justice system to low-income people and to other vulnerable populations with civil legal problems. LawNY offices may be able to help you with problems such as welfare terminations, divorces, evictions, SSI denials, or other problems if you live in one of these counties we cover.
