ABOUT THIS SITE
This site serves pro bono volunteers in the following Western New York counties:
You will find an array of resources for attorneys who handle pro bono cases, as well as information about pro bono opportunities available through Volunteer Legal Services Project (VLSP) and the Finger Lakes Volunteer Lawyer Service (FLVLS). This site is hosted by VLSP of Monroe County, NY.

- In NEW CASES, you can find available cases that need counsel.
- The LIBRARY contains sample pleadings and materials to use in preparing your pro bono case.
If you are currently on the VLSP or FLVLS panel and have handled a case or worked in one of the VLSP or FLVLS clinics recently, you will be approved to join the site as a prerequisite for your service.
Not Currently a Volunteer:
If you are not currently a VLSP or FLVLS volunteer, you do not need to take a case now in order to join. However, we do expect those whom we authorize for access to register for VLSP or the Finger Lakes Volunteer Lawyer Service and to accept a case as soon as possible. Please register now to become a volunteer and gain access to our resources.
VOLUNTEER LEGAL SERVICES PROJECT OF MONROE COUNTY, INC.:
Volunteer Legal Services Project of Monroe County, Inc. (VLSP) provides free legal help to low-income residents of Monroe County, NY facing non-criminal legal problems.
FINGER LAKES VOLUNTEER LAWYER SERVICE:
The Finger Lakes Volunteer Lawyer Service (FLVLS) coordinates the efforts of private attorneys providing pro bono services in five rural counties in Western New York: Livingston, Ontario, Seneca, Wayne and Yates.
LEGAL AID SOCIETY OF ROCHESTER:
Legal Aid Society of Rochester, NY, Inc., is a not-for-profit organization that provides direct civil legal services, including lay advocacy and related human services, to adults and children. We ensure that those who seek justice have an opportunity to receive a fair and full hearing. We obtain legal solutions that have a beneficial impact on our clients and the community.
