This training provides a basic understanding of U.S. Immigration Law, including the various paths to legal residence. Also covered will be the distinction between immigrant and non-immigrant status, U visas, special immigrant juvenile status, VAWA self-petitioning, and family based immigration. The session requires no previous knowledge of immigration law and is designed to help those working with immigrants to better understand the legal system with which immigrants must cope.
