This training will introduce and walk people through the principals of cultural competence to help immigration advocates interact more effectively with people of different cultures and social groups. The training will discuss the four components of cultural competence: awareness of one's own cultural worldview; attitude towards cultural differences; knowledge of different cultural practices and worldviews, and cross-cultural skills. The training will be conducted by Andrew Sta. Ana, Esq. of Sanctuary for Families.
