The End of the HIV Travel and Immigration Ban

Tuesday February 16 , 2010

On January 4, 2010, the U.S. ended a two decade policy of banning non-citizens with HIV from entering the United States. This training will discuss how the change came about, who is helped by the repeal of the ban, procedural changes, and remaining unresolved issues.

The panel will feature Victoria Neilson, Esq., Legal Director, Immigration Equality; Noemi Masliah, Esq., partner at Masliah and Soloway; and Lynn Neugebauer, Esq., Staff Attorney, Safe Horizons.

  • CLE Credit Comments: CLE certification is still pending. However, we expect one credit in professional practice to be granted for New York. To receive credit, you must pre-register.
