Appellate Term Practice for Housing Attorneys - What orders are appealable? Learn how to secure a stay pending the appeal and learn the mechanics from "taking" the appeal, obtaining the transcript, writing the appellate brief to arguing the appeal. This training will address both the process of deciding to pursue the appeal as well as a review of the mechanics of bringing the appeal. Sheryl Karp, Housing Supervisor of Legal Aid's Harlem Community Law Office and Judith Goldiner from Legal Aids' Civil Law Reform Unit will be the trainers. R.S.V.P. is required to civiltraining @legal-aid.org. 40 participants only with priority given to Legal Aid and Legal Services attorneys. Legal Aid's trainings are free.
