ABCNY Seeking Nominations for the Sixteenth Annual Legal Services Awards

The Association of the Bar of the City of New York is now soliciting nominations for the Sixteenth Annual Legal Services Awards. Sponsored by the Legal Services Awards Committee, the Association will present up to five awards of $500 each to winners working full time in providing direct legal services to low income clients. The Association will honor the winners at a reception on May 23, 2005.

People eligible for this award are:

· Attorneys who have, for an extended period during their career, devoted themselves to the direct provision of free legal services to indigent persons.

In addition, the Legal Services Awards Committee will consider making an award to:

· Nonlawyers who have, for an extended period during their career, devoted themselves to and supported the process of providing free legal services to indigent persons.

If you would like to nominate someone to receive a Legal Services Award, please complete the nomination form available online or you may print it out and mail it to the Legal Services Awards Committee, Executive Director's Office, The Association of the Bar of the City of New York, 42 West 44th Street, New York, NY 10036, or via fax at (212) 398-6634.
