In 2011, 2,725 attorneys, paralegals, and other legal professionals volunteered their services with The Legal Aid Society.

These volunteers contributed nearly a quarter of a million (245,500) hours of pro bono services to the Legal Aid Society.

The total valuation of pro bono services contributed to The Legal Aid Society was over $68.5 million, the third year in a row the value has been in excess of sixty million dollars.

Law Firm pro bono attorneys, paralegals and other professionals contributed 111,127 hours of volunteer service. 97,041 of those hours were provided by attorneys.

Unaffiliated pro bono attorneys contributed 17,063 hours of volunteer service, including 4,550 Second Acts®/Attorney Emeritus hours.

Law Firm Public Interest Externs contributed 14,222 hours of volunteer service in 2011.
Volunteers worked on over 2,950 pro bono matters in 2011.
Civil: 1286 volunteer attorneys worked on 1868 matters.
Criminal (including appeals): 438 volunteer attorneys worked on 883 matters.
Juvenile Rights: 16 volunteer attorneys worked on 198 matters.
