Is New York State's "Marriage Equality" really equal? This training will address the benefits that are now conferred on same-sex couples who decide to marry in New York State, and the benefits and additional hurdles that these couples face despite being married. Implications regarding public benefits eligibility for low-income same-sex couples who choose to marry will also be discussed.
