This training will review the various immigration law issues faced by immigrants, refugees, and non-citizens seeking lawful immigration status that have been convicted or accused of criminal conduct. Issues covered will include the criminal grounds for deportation and for denial of adjustment of status, criminal bars on asylum and other forms of relief from removal, and crime-related barriers on the findings of good moral character necessary for citizenship or for approval of a battered spouse self-petition. This training will be conducted by attorneys from the Immigrant Defense Project.
A fee will be charged for this training.
