Attorneys will be trained to represent inMotion clients in order of protection, child custody, and visitation matters in Family Court. Procedural and substantive aspects will be discussed in detail, as well as tips on how to represent and advise victims of domestic violence. Training manuals and sample documents will be provided.
A case with an order of protection and/or child custody/visitation issues will be assigned at the training or shortly thereafter. Attorneys can work on the case individually or as part of a team of two or more attorneys.
The assigned pro bono case will require at least one court appearance.
