The City Bar Justice Center Welcomes a New Executive Director
Thursday, November 15
- Organization: City Bar Justice Center
The City Bar Justice Center is excited to introduce its new Executive Director. Lynn M. Kelly, formally the Executive Director of MFY Legal Services, joined the Justice Center in late October. Ms. Kelly was with MFY since 1998, leading a staff of 20 attorneys and paralegals who provide a wide range of civil legal services to low-income New Yorkers. She has strengthened MFY’s traditional practice areas—housing, public benefits, mental health and adult home advocacy—while spearheading new projects to assist low-wage earners facing employment problems, victims of domestic violence, and low-income foster care parents who want to adopt children in their care. Prior to joining MFY, Ms. Kelly taught at Fordham University and New York University School of Law. She also worked at the Legal Aid Society in various leadership capacities. Ms. Kelly is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College and New York University School of Law.
Ms. Kelly is replacing Maria Imperial, who after nine years as the Executive Director of the Justice Center, moved on to the YWCA of White Plains as its CEO.
