The New York City Bar Association is now soliciting nominations for the Eighteenth Annual Legal Services Awards. Sponsoredby the Legal Services Awards Committee, the Association will present up to five awards of $500 each to winners working full time in providing direct legal services to low income clients. The Association will honor the winners at a reception in May 2007.

People eligible for this award are:

·Attorneys who have, for an extended period during their career, devoted themselves to the direct provision of free legal services to indigent persons.

In addition, the Legal Services Awards Committee will consider making an award to:

·Nonlawyers who have, for an extended period during their career, devoted themselves to and supported the process of providing free legal services to indigent persons.
