Veterans Day - Help a Military Member 

There are over 21 million veterans in the U.S; many of them are not aware of the benefits to which they are entitled.  Interested in learning more about how you can advocate for veterans? The Veteran's Committee of the NYS Bar Association is hosting a benefits and advocacy training, free for interested volunteers, Albany Law School is celebrating Veteran’s Law Day on November 14, and don’t forget to check out our National Military Pro Bono practice area, which is inviting you to help a military member today!  Also, read about the steps the NY Times discussed that the White House is taking to ease Veteran's Access to Care or watch this video for an overview of the VA Health Care System prepared by the City Bar Justice Center's Veteran's Advocacy Project.

Join a Practice Area

Practice areas contain resources for legal professionals and law students by specific area of interest, such as family justice/domestic violence, housing, immigration or military pro bono. Join one of the New York or National practice areas listed on the left to gain access to a variety of resources specific to that area, including news, events, sample pleadings, training webcasts, available cases, and more. Membership in each practice area is separate and maintained with the help of our partners.

Attorney Emeritus Program (Senior Attorney Opportunities)

Scroll through our Attorney Emeritus Program pages for more information about the opportunities available for senior attorneys in good standing and 55 years of age or older. The Attorney Emeritus Program provides an exciting new avenue for experienced lawyers to use their expertise on behalf of New Yorkers in need.
