The Applied Research Center recently released a national report detailing the intersection between immigration enforcement activities (S-Comm, local police calling ICE, etc) and immigrants’ children being thrust into the child welfare system as a result.

The report found a disproportionate number of DV victims, and other victims of gender-motivated violence, are at higher risk of having their children removed and placed into foster care after their contact with law enforcement.
