- Organization: Corporate Counsel Pro Bono Coordinators
The NYCBA Pro Bono and Legal Services Committee, New Jersey Corporate Counsel Association, Pro Bono Net, and Corporate Counsel Pro Bono Coordinators are organizing a comprehensive workshop intended to provide individualized counseling to attorneys at corporate legal departments that are looking to start or have recently started a pro bono program. The workshop will provide instruction on a number of best practices for building a sustainable pro bono program (management support, pro bono policy, engagement letter, marketing/publicity, volunteer recognition, etc.), in a unique format where participants will be able to work in an intimate setting with corporate attorneys experienced at coordinating pro bono programs who will serve as facilitators. The facilitators will also provide ongoing mentorship to workshop participants.
This is a wonderful opportunity for attorneys working in corporate legal departments looking to start or with newly started pro bono programs to get individualized coaching and instruction on what it takes to create a successful pro bono program. This event is scheduled to occur in the next several months, but the exact date and time TBD will be determined in part on participant availability. Due to extremely limited space, if you are interested in participating in this workshop, please contact Ivette Del Valle at (firstname.lastname@example.org or 212-484-7855) as soon as possible.
