Litigating orders of protection and child custody/visitation cases

Attorneys will be trained to represent inMotion-referred clients in order of protection, child custody and visitation matters in Family Court. Procedural and substantive aspects will be discussed in detail, as well as tips on how to represent and advise victims of domestic violence. Training manuals and sample documents will be provided.
A case with an order of projection and/or child custody/visitation issues will be assigned at the training or shortly thereafter. Attorneys can work on the case individually or as part of a team of two or more attorneys.
The assigned pro bono case will require at least one court appearance. Attorneys are expected to commit to taking a case pro bono either individually or as part of a team of two or more attorneys.
Pre-requisites:
You must be an employee at a corporate law firm in order to participate in this training.
You must register on inMotion's website in order to attend.
- CLE Credit Comments: 3 CLE credits upon course completion 1.5 skills / 1.0 professional practice / 0.5 ethics Up to 6 CLE pro bono credits for providing an inMotion client with direct legal representation (1 skills credit for every 300 minutes, up to a maximum of 6 credits per attorney registration period)
