An Offer in Compromise ("OIC") is an agreement between a taxpayer and the IRS that settles a tax liability for less than the full amount owed. Participants will learn the mechanics of making an offer, including the procedures for seeking relief, grounds for acceptance of an offer, and the standards used by the IRS in evaluating offers.
