This free training will cover the steps and filings required to initiate a contested matrimonial case, including filing the RJI, preliminary conferences, completing a statement of net worth, and the retainer agreement. The training will also cover pendente lite motions for temporary relief in a matrimonial action. A basic outline of equitable distribution law, spousal support (maintenance), child support, discovery, preparing for trial and settlement issues will also be provided.
