Human Trafficking Laws: An Analysis of the Federal William Wilberforce Trafficking Victims Protection Re-Authorization Act of 2008 and NY's Anti-Human Trafficking Law (2007) and Safe Harbor for Exploited Children Act (2008)
A panel of experts will define the relevant terms that are necessary to understand trafficking in humans for labor and sexual exploitation; outline the recent changes to the federal and New York State anti-trafficking laws and New York's recent law, the Safe Harbor for Exploited Children act; and discuss the ethical considerations faced by judges and practitioners working in the field.
