This training is designed to introduce social service providers to New York City's education and training rules and policies for Public Assistance recipients and to assist them in effectively advocating for clients seeking to participate in education and training programs. Learn the rights of Public Assistance recipients -- both parents of dependent children and single adults -- to participate in educational programs, including adult basic education/literacy, job skills training, and degree programs, as well as receiving child care, transportation, and scheduling assistance in support of their educational goals.
