Nicholson v. Scoppetta: Three Years Later

The program will explore the impact of the 2004 landmark New York Court of Appeals decision, Nicholson v. Scoppetta, which held that a child witnessing domestic violence was not sufficient to conclude that the child had been neglected by the child's parent. The decision also radically altered the analysis required before Family Court judges order the removal of a child from his or her parents in all child protective proceedings.
