This training will guide attorneys and other advocates through the surprisingly powerful tools available under the New York City Human Rights Law (without having to go to the Human Rights Commission). In addition to a discussion of basic coverage and strategies, the training will look at new opportunities opened by the passage of the Local Civil Rights Restoration Act in 2005, and will examine some important legislative remedies that are now pending. Trainers will discuss recent housing discrimination and employment discrimination advocacy using the New York City Human Rights Law.

**PLEASE NOTE that this training is for advocates ONLY; staff of government agencies will not be permitted to attend.
