Lawyers helping military service members and their families have a new tool in their arsenal. The lawyers' desk reference manual, Legal Issues Affecting Military Personnel, Veterans, Retirees, and Their Families, is now available.

The publication, a joint project of the PBA Military and Veterans' Affairs Committee, the Military Affairs Committee of the Philadelphia Bar Association, and the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, is available in a three-ring binder format or on CD-ROM for $25 plus shipping and handling. Click here for more details about the manual and to order.

PBI has scheduled a three-hour CLE course about the new desktop reference for Aug. 5 in Philadelphia with webcasts across the state. The CLE will guide participants through many of the substantive areas covered by the manual. Look for more information soon on the PBI Web site.

In addition, the PBA is hosting one-hour introductory courses about the desktop reference in Lancaster County on Feb. 26 and Monroe County on March 25. For more information, contact David Trevaskis by e-mail or by phone at 800-932-0311, Ext. 2236.
