Pro Bono Manager Service Builds Momentum

Monday, October 01, 2007

  • Organization: Pro Bono Net
  • Source: Pennsylvania

Last month, Pro Bono Net demonstrated Pro Bono Manager, a one-of-a-kind, web-based service that enables law firms to more effectively manage and promote their pro bono programs, to law firm technology leaders attending the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA) annual conference held in Orlando. ILTA is the largest peer networking organization focused on the effective use of technology by the legal profession. This year's conference attracted more than 2,300 attendees and more than 150 registered vendors. Special thanks to Peggy Wechsler, Program Director and Vendor Liaison, for her generous support of Pro Bono Net.

Pro Bono Manager, which to date is being implemented by three leading AmLaw 100 firms, provides robust firmwide reporting and tracking of pro bono matters, attorney interests and pro bono opportunities down to the individual attorney level. In addition, the software helps firms increase volunteer participation and knowledge sharing available to attorneys working on pro bono cases. Among the early adopters of the software are Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP and Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP.

Pro Bono Manager is built on Microsoft's SharePoint 2007 and SQL Reporting Services. The platform can carry an individual firm's branding, and will display a firm's time tracking data without the need for additional programming. Pro Bono Counsel and Management do not need special technical skills to use the system, which can be up and running in as little as two to four weeks.

For more information about Pro Bono Manager, or to arrange a demonstration, please contact Adam Licht, Director of Product Management, at alicht@probono.net.
