The list below provides some (not all) of the cases for which pro bono attorneys are needed. Assuming cases on a pro bono basis also provides attorneys with valuable litigation experience. Legal aid programs actively recruit, train, mentor, and co-counsel with volunteer (pro bono) attorneys to help them handle the many complex and changing legal issues unique to the practice of civil poverty law.
