Effective January 31, 2006, The Mississippi Bar's Young Lawyers Division Disaster Legal Assistance Hotline will no loner be operational due to low daily calls and referrals. If, however, the client has a legal problem related to Hurricane Katrina and are experiencing difficulties in resolving a dispute with their landlord over rental payments, security deposits and related issues, they can call the MS Center for Legal Services' Legal Assistance Line 1(800) 959-6752. Hours of operation are from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Fridays.
