Client is seeking assistance with adopting her 8-year old grandchild. The minor's mother is deceased and the father is currently incarcerated. Client has had the child since she was one. The minor's parents were never married. There is no child custody order in place; however, there is a support order in effect through their county's DHS. The father will consent to custody and has supplied a written statement confirming his consent.
