Mississippi Volunteer Lawyers Project (MVLP) and Young Lawyers Division (YLD) will host a Free CLE Legal Guardianship Clinic on July 26, 2012 at the Hinds County Chancery Courthouse, Third floor located at 316 South President Street, Jackson, MS. The CLE is free to attorneys that volunteer to assist at the clinic. The Legal Guardianship Clinic will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. If you would like to volunteer your services at the legal clinic, please contact the Executive Director, Shirley Williams at swilliams@mymvlp.net or the General Counsel, Tiffany Graves at tgraves@mymvlp.net or 601.360.0212. Please bring your laptop to the clinic. Forms will be provided to volunteers to assist with preparing pleadings - on the spot - for applicants who are seeking legal assistance. (Applicants will be pre-screened for eligibility.) Volunteers can receive up to 5 hours of CLE during this event. MVLP staff and volunteer law students will be available for any assistance needed.
