Volunteers needed: Baton Rouge Self-Help Center

Help people help themselves!

The Self Help Resource Center is a walk-in clinic at the East Baton Rouge Family Court (300 North Blvd., Baton Rouge) for self-represented litigants with family court matters. The clinic is open Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m.-  2:00 p.m. Self Help desk law students and staff assist pro se litigants with document preparation and filing using only court approved forms. Volunteer attorneys oversee document preparation, ensure that students are conducting themselves in an ethical and professional manner, and offer notarization. No legal advice is given. The Self-Help Resource Center is open to attorneys in all areas of practice.

The Self-Help Resource Center in Baton Rouge needs volunteers Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Shifts are two or four hours long.
