Pro Bono Net's News
On Tuesday, April 19th, as part of the Legal Services Corporation White House Forum on Access to Justice, the Legal Services Corporation with Microsoft and Pro Bono Net made a big announcement. Also as part of the Forum, our Executive Director, Mark O’Brien, participated in the “Pro Bono and Technology Innovations to Improve Access to Justice” Panel at the Legal Services Corporation White House Forum on Access to Justice. Watch the video of the Announcement and the Panel at the LSC Video Library.
The Need For Pro Bono
The need for legal services among the poor is overwhelming. According to an American Bar Association study, at least 40% of low and moderate-income households experience a legal problem each year. Yet studies show that the collective civil legal aid effort is meeting only about 20% of the legal needs of low-income people.
