Law firm externs are encouraged to attend.
The Deferred Associate Law Extern Project was devised in response to the growing pool of law school graduates who have been deferred for up to a year from a private law firm and have chosen to work in public interest law in New York City. The program will provide a series of training sessions and roundtables that we hope will enable externs who may not have expected to practice in a public interest setting to transition successfully in their respective externships.
Speakers will be announced at a later date. CLE will be provided.
The NYC Bar gratefully acknowledges the support of the New York Community Trust for this Project. For more information on the Project, visit nycbar.org or contact Zakiyyah Salim-Williams, Project Director, at zswilliams@nycbar.org or (212) 382-6689.
