This year's seminar will address recent advances in neuroscience and mental health, issues relating to race and culture, and how the mitigation investigation involves much more than preparation for a sentencing proceeding. Through a combination of plenaries and small groups, the seminar will explore both general and specific mitigation issues affecting cases in a variety of procedural postures.
