Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Coordinator

Volunteer Opportunity!

Join us and learn how only 14 days can equal over $5 million returned to low- and moderate-income residents of the metro DC area.

The 2007 tax season is quickly approaching and the DC EITC Campaign is gearing up to provide free tax preparation services to more than 4000 low- and moderate-income taxpayers in the DC area. In conjunction with our site partners (Children's Defense Fund, Community Tax Aid, and the DC CASH Campaign) we hope to return even more than the nearly $5 million we did last year.

The DC EITC Campaign needs tax preparers, greeters and intake volunteers, financial counselors and interpreters for clients who speak Spanish, French, Mandarin, Cantonese and Fukien. Our sites are located throughout the metro DC area. No prior tax preparation experience is needed. We provide free training.

Apply online at www.dceitc.org. If you would like more information after visiting our website, contact Jennifer Morley at volunteer (at) caab.org or 202-419-1442.

The DC EITC Campaign is a citywide, cross-sector initiative that educates residents about the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and other tax benefits for low-income workers. Through partnerships with nonprofits, we provide free tax preparation assistance to those who need help but can't afford to pay and educate taxpayers about programs and services that promote economic security and financial literacy.
