D.C. Law Students In Court (LSIC), one of the District's largest providers of legal services to low-income residents and a unique clinical legal education program for third-year law students from American, Catholic, George Washington, Georgetown and Howard universities, has rescheduled its Alumni and Friends Association for Wednesday, March 3, 2010 due to inclement weather. The reception will take place from 6:30pm-8:30pm at Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP, 1300 Eye Street NW, Washington, D.C. 20005. Registration is $30 per person. Alumni, board members, staff and friends of the organization will be in attendance.

The LSIC Alumni and Friends Association is a new entity that will raise money for LSIC, provide opportunities for LSIC alumni networking and mentoring, and sponsor events including happy hours, sports outings, networking receptions and special events. The LSIC Alumni and Friends Association will continue to enhance LSIC's unique and critical mission of providing legal services to low-income clients, training third-year law students to be zealous advocates, and imbuing future lawyers with a commitment to pro bono service. The generosity of LSIC alumni and friends will secure a future for the organization and increase LSIC's abilities to benefit future students and clients.
