The State Justice Institute is accepting grant applications 2/1/2011. 5/1/2011. These are federal funds and there are various grants categories:
Project Grants--up to $300,000 for 36 month projects to support innovative research, demonstration, education, or technical assistance projects, higher amounts going to projects with national impact.
Technical Assitance Grants--up to $50,000 for a 12 month period. may cover the cost of obtaining the services of expert consultants; travel by a team of officials from one court to examine a practice, program, or facility in another jurisdiction that the applicant court is interested in replicating; or both. Technical Assistance Grant funds ordinarily may not be used to support production of a videotape. Normally, the technical
assistance must be completed within 12 months after the start date of the grant. A cash and in-kind match must be provided equal to at least 50% of the grant amount, of which 20% of the match must be in cash.
