Court officials in Las Vegas say they're cutting backlogs of electronic documents received in the first weeks of mandatory electronic filing of civil complaints, Family Court documents and other records.
Eighth Judicial District Court executive Steven Grierson says the 3,000 civil and 2,500 Family Court filings received in the first days after the system began Feb. 1 were more than anticipated.
He says processing was cut last week to 24 hours for civil cases, but it still took about a week for Family and Probate court documents.
