On October 11, 2011, Gene D. Robinson, Mayor of the City of Anniston, Alabama, along with members of the City Council, signed a proclamation declaring October 23-29, 2011 to be Pro Bono Week, and urged all Anniston residents to recognize the contributions of the legal community helping those most in need.
