Monday, October 04, 2010
- Organization: Volunteer Legal Services Project of Monroe County, Inc.
Made possible thanks to the support of Seventh Judicial District Administrative Judge Thomas M. Van Strydonck, "Ethics Redux," a two-credit ethics CLE, will be broadcast live from Rochester’s Hall of Justice to courthouses in the seven rural counties of New York’s Seventh Judicial District. In exchange for attending, attorneys are asked to commit to rendering pro bono service in their communities. Co-sponsors VLSP and ProBonoNY began broadcasting recruitment CLEs throughout New York's Seventh Judicial District in May 2010. John Ritchie, special counsel to the Hon. Fern Fisher, Deputy Chief Administrative Judge for New York City Courts and Director, New York, State Courts Access to Justice Program, has indicated that the VLSP/ProBonoNY programs are New York State's first live broadcasts of pro bono CLEs. "Ethics Redux" will feature a panel discussion by Hon. Marian W. Payson, U.S. Magistrate Judge, Gregory J. Huether, Esq., Chief Counsel, Attorney Grievance Committee, Fourth Department and Christopher K. Werner, Esq., Boylan, Brown, Code, Vigdor & Wilson, LLP.
