This event will convene legal practitioners and leaders - from the judiciary to volunteer attorneys to local, state and federal law enforcement - to generate strategies and best practices to combat human trafficking. The morning includes a training on how to represent unaccompanied minors in immigration cases so that pro bono attorneys can take KIND (Kids in Need of Defense) and a session on cultural competency and working with survivors of violence. The afternoon will include keynotes as well as panel and roundtable discussions on trafficking topics.
