In recognition of National Pro Bono week, Prairie State Legal Services is offering a free MCLE program, "Counseling Clients with Debt". It is an interactive, 90-minute program which includes discussion of a wide range of issues related to debt and an overview of consumer statutes such as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
Training materials include a printed Guide which includes step-by-step interview and case analysis guides. There is no charge for the program, and 1.5 hours of general MCLE credit will be offered to participants.
