A frank discussion by informed and influential participants in the NYC pro bono matrix about new realities in the legal profession, which may affect pro bono practice in our city. Leaders from corporations, public interest organizations, law firms, courts, bar associations and academia will gather at this invitation only event. It will result in a widely distributed white paper of findings and recommendations that will facilitate continuing discussion and connections between stakeholders.

Judge Robert M. Katzmann will deliver keynote remarks. Participants in the Roundtable that follows him will be: Aric Press, The American Lawyer; Eve Burton, Hearst Corp.; Deborah Rhode, Visiting Professor at Columbia Law School; Steve Banks, Legal Aid Society of NY; Lynn Kelly, NYC Bar Foundation; Steve Reiss, Weil Gotshall and Manges; Shayana Kadidal, Center for Constitutional Rights, and Michael Rothenberg, New York Lawyers for the Public Interest. Facilitated small groups then will deepen the discussion and make specific recommendations.
