Created as a partnership between the Nassau County Bar Association and the Nassau/Suffolk Law Services, the Volunteer Lawyers Project provides pro bono legal representation for Nassau County residents who need legal services. The NCBA Fund's annual Probonothon will be held on October 28 and 29, 2009 at Domus, during National Pro Bono Week. The Probonothon is the major fundraiser for the Volunteer Lawyers Project. Volunteers are needed to call colleagues during the two day Probonothon. Two hour shifts are available from 12-2 p.m., 2-4 p.m. and 4-6 p.m. and refreshments will be served (of course).
