A FREE CLE for volunteer attorneys who agree to volunteer at a clinic or accept one pro bono case with Community Legal Aid or within the next 12 months. 4.0 general hours CLE credit have been requested from the Ohio Supreme Court.
This CLE will provide attorneys with basic training on issue identification and advising clients in a clinic setting. It will review limited representation responsibilities at clinics and will provide a basic overview of the law in areas that are most commonly raised in the clinical setting. The CLE will also provide volunteers with information regarding available community resources and legal options for low income people faced with a legal problem.
Speakers will include Community Legal Aid Executive Director Sara E. Strattan, Managing Attorney Jennifer Van Dulmen, and Supervising Attorney John Petit.
