As part of the first annual National Celebration of Pro Bono Week (October 26-30), Troutman Sanders, LLP with have a Pro Bono Jeans Day. Employees who contribute a minimum of $5.00 to a selected pro bono/legal services organization in that city will be allowed to wear their favorite pair of jeans to work. All ten stateside offices will participate. The downturn in the economy has resulted in reduced funding for pro bono programs while at the same time increasing the number of potential clients. Organizations receiving funds include: Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation, Legal Aid Society of Eastern Virginia, Equal Justice Works, Legal Aid of Wake County Volunteer Lawyers Program, Public Law Center, San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program, Human Rights First and Center for Disability and Elder Law.
