The official kick-off of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association's Pro Bono Initiative, an invitational Summit is planned to provide information and encourage participation in a community effort called "KC Lawyers Care Connection". National speakers and local corporate representatives will address practical issues on the need for attorney involvement in this initiative. The Initiative Taskforce will also roll-out an interactive website "kclawyerscare.com" to match attorneys who are willing to accept pro bono cases with agencies who have clients in need. In conjunction with the conference, a signing ceremony for a law-firm commitment and press conference is scheduled.
