Fee: $25 for attorneys; $15 for paralegals
This course is designed to prepare attorneys to provide much-needed legal representation to prospective Chapter 7 debtors. Topics will include the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, client interview procedures, case screening and evaluation, the automatic stay, completion of schedules, exemptions, discharge provisions, and conflicts of interest. Appropriate for attorneys and attorney/paralegal teams.
